John Dragich, a 20-year-old from St. Cloud, won the inaugural Minnesota State Poker Tour event on Monday night, taking home $34,000 and a customized diamond bracelet for his efforts.
Dragich picked up pocket aces on the first hand of heads-up play against another 20-year-old, Chase Wood, who held K2. Both players had nearly even stacks, and they pushed all the money in on a K-high flop. Dragich’s aces held, and he will hold bragging rights until the MSPT travels to Grand Casino Mille Lacs in February.

This kid is the next Daniel Negreanu.
More like Phil Ivey
Wow. What a great player.
Only 20 years old? That kid must be hung like a wildebeest.
Nice article, He is a real champion.
$34,000????
Holy Money Batman
I would let that wildebeast run wild in my house
Sweet jesus. Is he married?
He played extremely well. He’s more like Chris Ferguson, though. Chase was more like Tom Dwan, and I wasn’t prepared for both to be so tough. I’m more like a lucky bastard who should have finished sixth this time. Congrats to John and Chase!
it takes two hands. p.s. i want a mustache ride.
2-Putts is rising, though. He has won quite a bit in online and starting to play more live tourneys in this coming years. Look out for 2-Putts Tony P. is dangerously when has chips.
Yes, I’ve heard 2-Putts is a very good poker player here locally. I’ve watched and saw He had made a classic laydown against one tough opponent in MSPT final table. Keep it up 2-Putts I’m your big fan and you’ll be up there, rising high.
TM.
I like 2 Putts chances. He’s a cool player and also a very tricky poker player on live table tourneys. This guy has a greatest mannerism, very cool poker player. GOOOO 2-Putts.
Agreed, 2 putts’s an awsome poker player here at Running ACES. A few weeks ago in Running Aces I saw him played on a Saturday deep stack tourney, he came in about an hr late then he managed to take 1st or second place that nite. Very impressive player.
Is 2-Putts and 3 Putts are brothers or cousins?? If they’re, these are DOUBLE TROUBLES. LOL.
They’re great players..!
yes, they’re brothers. better watchout for these two though, especially the 2nd one. They’re fearless when it comes to poker. ):
I would love to see a 2 Putts, Dragich heads up table. Dragich wins every time hands down. Dragich is known in some cities as 1 Putt by the way.
No, No, Dragich didn’t win every time hands down. I’ve seen him played in final 3 tables before the main event during MSPT and I did not see him win every hands down. Anyway, I’d love to see 3-Putts heads up table again with anyone here locally and 3-Putts has won many tournaments previously, $$$.
I like 2-Putts & 3-Putts ’cause they’re cool poker players. Pretty sure they’ll win more tournaments in the years to come.
Peace..,
JC.
WHO’S 2 PUTTS OR 3 PUTTS, ANYWAY?? NEVER HEARD OF’EM BEFORE. ARE THEY THE PROS?? ): ):
I’ would love to 2-Putts heads up with Daniel Negreanu someday.
2-Putts can also play any two cards, too. Good player like 2 Putts can play any styles in NO LIMIT HOLD”EM..!
YOU’LL SEEEE my friends.
The kid is the next Slim or Doyle Brunson.
